Azerbaijani futsal team to play Portugal and Serbia in Euro-2012

The draw of the final stage of the European-2012 championship in futsal has been cast in Croatian Zagreb.

Despite successful participation in the previous continental championship, our team was sawn to the third basket. Therefore, we have the opponents from the first two baskets-Portugal and Serbia. These teams are in group D. On 1 February, Azerbaijani team will play against Portugal and on 3 February again Serbia. Both matches will be held in Zagreb.

Composition of other groups:

Group A-Croatia, Czech Republic, Romania
Group B-Spain, Ukraine, Slovenia
Group C-Italy, Russia, Turkey.

Two best teams from every group will reach the quarterfinal. There, the winners of Groups A, B, C and D will play respectively with two teams of groups B, A, D and C. Thus, in case of reaching the quarterfinal, Azerbaijani team will play either Italy, or Russia or Turkey.
