Red Bull Futsal 5 tournament this Saturday

Kota Kinabalu: The Red Bull Futsal 5 tournament will be held at the Jesselton Point, Suria futsal centre on July 9.

The event organised by Red Bull Malaysia is a series of futsal tournaments with the idea of promoting a healthy lifestyle and inculcating positive character building through sporting activities among Malaysians.

The 5-a-side competition is open to all Malaysians including women aged between 16-40-year-old and the entrance fee is RM150 per team and a maximum of 7 members per team.

The competition is limited to 48 teams and those interested can download the form from the Red Bull Malaysia website at www.redbull.com.my and send the completed form along with the entry fee to the management office of Suria futsal centre. Any team that is able to collect 100 bottle caps of Red Bull gold or 100 can tabs of Red Bull Gold or Red Bull less sugar will be able to enter the tournament for free.

The closing date for the competition is on July 8.

The winner of the competition will walk away with RM2,500, trophy and medal, runner-up will take home RM1,500 while third place (RM750), fourth place (RM500), fifth to eighth (RM250).

The top four winners will automatically qualify for the final round to be played in Kuala Lumpur on September 10 which offers a grand prize of RM15,000 for the winner.
