Mansouri to represent Iran in AFC Futsal Club Championship

TEHRAN– Iran’s Shahid Mansouri will represent Iran in the 2011 AFC Futsal Club Championship which will be held in Doha, Qatar from June 26 to July 1.

Mansouri will play Ardus from Uzbekistan on Sunday in Group B in Doha’s Al-Rayyan Main Hall.

The Iranian team is scheduled to play Lebanese Al-Sadaka and GH Bank RBAC from Thailand on 27th and 28th June respectively.

Group A consists of Al Rayyan of Qatar, Iraqi Al Karkh, Nagoya Oceans of Japan and Chinese Wuhan Dilong.

Iran’s Foolad Mahan Sepahan won the inaugural edition of the championship by beating Qatar’s Al Sadd 5-2 in the final last year.

Top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals to be played on June 30 while the third-place match and the final will be played on July 1
