Southampton had to win on Saturday to maintain their Premier League survival hopes, and they did just that against Bournemouth.
A brace from Dusan Tadic handed Mark Hughes’s men a huge win in their bid to beat the drop.
Mario Lemina teed up Tadic for Saints’ opener. Josh King levelled for Bournemouth on the stroke of halftime.
Tadic won the match early in the second half when he won possession near the halfway line, advanced towards the Cherries box, and he finished with an eye-catching punted technique which beat Asmir Begovic.

After the match Tadic spoke to the BBC goal his man of the match performance.
When it came to discussing his second goal, Tadic revealed how playing futsal helped him with shooting.
Tadic discussed how he often plays futsal with his friends, and he’s learnt how to shoot with his toes when needed.
After Southampton’s win, and Swansea’s loss at home to Chelsea, the Saints are now a point from safety.
Southampton have three matches remaining in the campaign: Everton (a), Swansea (a), Man City (h).
