The Borneo PostMilo Futsal Champion Clinic for kidsJuly 7, 2017, FridayMIRI: Parents are invited to register their children, boys and girls aged 7 to 11 years old for the 2017 Milo Futsal Champion Clinic to be held at Hornbill Sports at MYY Mall Lutong.
The Milo Champions clinic was held for the first time here last year which saw 52 children exploring their passion in sports under the guidance of experienced and certified coaches.
According to former national SEA Games footballer coach Elizabeth Oyau, parents play an important role in encouraging their children to partake in sports activities.
In beginner stages, parents should focus on their child’s performance and not on the outcome of the game.
“We got to tackle the parents first, then the kids.
“From my own experience, children receiving constant support from their parents, tend to experience more enjoyment in playing sports.
“Futsal is not only for boys, I urge the parents to encourage their children especially girls to take up the sport as this will also build their self-confidence too,” she stressed.
The futsal clinic will commence on July 22 and 29, Aug 5,12,19 and 26, and Sept 2-3.
There will be a fee of RM120 for each participant.
