KHK Futsal League in final touches

Manama, July 5

The Technical Committee for the fifth edition of the Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centers, People with Disabilities and Girls, continues the leagues' preparations and adding the final touches to launch the competitions.

The league will be held from July 24 till August 23 under the slogan #meeting_of_generations at Khalid Sports City Hall, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs in cooperation with the Media Office of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, as part of His Highness's initiatives in the sports and Humanitarian fields.

Ali Saeed, head of the Technical Committee said that the final schedule is issued and final regulations are adopted, in addition to implementing them on the participating teams. He pointed out the Technical Committee gives a great deal of importance to the technical arrangements before the start of the league, due to the keenness to ensure the success of the event which bears the name of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Saeed noted in his talk that the committee has finished completing the list of participating teams which includes 36 youth centers teams, 8 teams of People with disabilities and 6 girls teams. He pointed out the committee is continuously communicating with the teams to finalize the lists and matters related to the registration of players in preparation to issue special cards for all the participants. He said that the committee will issue special cards for each team including staff, administrators, technicians and players, pointing out that the cards help identification and organize matters.

He stressed that the preparation to hold the draw in the middle of this month continue. He explained that the draw will be held in 8 groups, in which the Technical Committee has adopted the last eight of last year's edition to be at the top of the groups. He pointed out that the draw will be accompanied with a variety of events, and will be held on 13, 14 and 15 July.

He praised the strong interaction by representatives of participating teams from youth centers, people with disabilities and girls, He also praised the cooperation shown by all parties with the Technical Committee and the other committees. He pointed out that the second meeting witnessed a large presence and great interaction, which confirms the success of the league and its addition to continuous series of successes achieved in the past editions. He stressed that the second technical meeting was important to clarify the arbitration aspects before the start of the league.
