CM Futsal Academy are runners-up at National Youth Cup finals

Youngsters place second in Birmingham

CM Futsal Academy’s under-14s finished as runners-up at the National Youth Cup finals in Birmingham.

The youngsters made the trip to the midlands to take on some of the best young talent from across the country.

In their group, CM Futsal Academy came up against Loughborough Dynamo, Bolton Futsal and Oldham-based Springhead Spartans.

After drawing their first game against Bolton Futsal 1-1, CM Futsal Academy finished top of Group B after beating both Loughborough and Springhead 3-0.

That was enough to see CM Futsal Academy into the semi-finals, where they took on Passmore Academy.

A truly tremendous attacking display from CM Futsal Academy saw them triumph in their final four clash, beating Passmore 5-1.

That set up a meeting with rivals Goal4Goal in the final of the competition.

Despite a battling display, CM Futsal academy were unable to come out on top as they lost to Goal4Goal by a score of 3-1.
