The 2-2 draw was key in allowing the Centurions to advance to the playoff round in the tight 18-and-under boys’ division. The Centurions wound up in the bronze medal position behind the champion Ottawa City Royals, who downed the Flames 2-1 in the final.
Other youth division winners included Derham (U16 girls ‘A’), the OFC Dragons (U21 girls), Toronto United (U14 boys ‘A’) and Galy Fusion (U16 girls ‘B’).
It was an all-St. Anthony’s final in the 14U boys’ ‘B’ category as the younger 2005-born Futuro squad prevailed over their 2004-born counterparts 4-3.
