With growth opportunities in Women’s Football and Futsal a new position of Competitions Manager – Futsal and Women’s Competitions has been established.

The key responsibility of this role is to support the Head of National Competitions with the management and delivery of the national competitions, specifically the national futsal and women’s competitions including the National Futsal League and other futsal community events, the National Women’s League and Women’s Knockout Cup competitions.

The Competitions Manager will also foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders and support Federations with topical issues facing regional futsal and women’s competitions.

To be our ideal candidate you will have a background in Competition and Event management, evidence of successfully and positively working with diverse stakeholders and/or customers, experience of overseeing budgets and managing P&L as well as strong communication, time management and organisational skills.

Reporting to the Head of National Competitions this role will be based at New Zealand Football’s Head Office at QBE Stadium (North Harbour Stadium). The position will involve travel throughout New Zealand to support the implementation of the relevant Competitions and Events.

Over the past five years New Zealand Football and its seven Regional Federations have established a 14 strong regional network of Futsal Development Officers, a high-quality Competition and Events framework, world class development programmes for players, coaches, referees and administrators as well as an International Programme for males and females (Females to be launched in 2017).

To drive the continued development of Futsal in Aotearoa and following an internal promotion, New Zealand Football is looking for a new Futsal Development Manager.

The key responsibility of this role is to ensure that participation in Futsal increases to 30,000 players by 2020 and 36,000 players by 2025.

This leadership position involves implementing of an all-inclusive, all-encompassing community engagement pathway, improving the Futsal delivery system and ensuring that Futsal is actively promoted.

To be our ideal candidate you will have a strong background in Community Sport / Community Development, ideally with experience either within or closely engaging with Sport New Zealand and National Sports Organisations. You will have the ability to think strategically, lead national initiatives, and work with partners to establish these initiatives locally (Please note this is not a coaching position).

Reporting to the Community Football Director this role will be based at New Zealand Football’s Head Office at QBE Stadium (North Harbour Stadium). The position will involve travel throughout New Zealand to support the implementation of national strategies at a regional level.
