State level open Futsal tournament Constrasting wins for GSFC, Champion FC

IMPHAL, Jan 9: GSFC, Keishampat and Champion FC registered contrasting wins while UBC, Sayang and SLFC played out a 2-2 draw today in the ongoing 3rd Nilesh Wahengbam State level open futsal football tournament 2017 at Sayang ground.

The first match of the day saw GSFC, Keishampat eking out a slender 5-4 win over SAK, Ngakhapat.

It was Rahul who handed the lead to GSFC in the 9th minute. However, the lead was cancelled out by Raju of SAK in the 18th minute.

Radhakanta took another lead for GSFC in the 25th minute and Rahul struck his second in the 26th minute to double the lead. Pritamkumar netted one for SAK in the 32nd minute.

Rahul slammed home his third in the 34th minute and Tondonba banged in one in the 38th minute to complete the scoring for GSFC.
Romi and Raju took charge to score a goal each for SAK in the 39th and 40th minute respectively to reduce the margin.

In the second match, UBC, Sayang and SLFC played out a thrilling 2-2 draw. Dinachandra (7′) and Suraj (11′) scored for UBC while Jasobanta (16′) and Pouchagangpu (37′) found their names in the score-sheet of SLFC.

In the last match of the day, Champion FC trounced Keishampat FC by a convincing margin of 17 goals to two.

Prem did the star turn for Champion FC as he slotted a record 15 goals. Momocha, Amarjit and Bidyananda contributed a goal each to complete the rout. Garry grabbed a brace for Keishampat FC.
