Christmas futsal, basketball tournaments

Two competitions will be played starting later this month at the TSL Sports Complex.

Saipan Soccer School will host the 2016 Christmas Youth Futsal Tournament from Dec. 26 to 30 for teams in the U16 and U12 age groups. Both divisions are for co-ed teams and each squad is allowed to have a maximum of 12 players.

Only the first six teams (per division) to register and complete the other requirements can play in the futsal tournament. Entry fees are $80 per squad and deadline for payment is on Dec. 23. Submission of roster is also set for Dec. 23.

The 2016 TanHoldings Christmas Basketball Tournament will kick off too on Dec. 26 and will run until the first few weeks of January.

The basketball competition will have three divisions: boys U25 and U16 and women’s open. Games will be played every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday and interested teams must submit their roster on or before Dec. 19.
