Vital Football - York CityYork City Futsal v Manchester Futsal AcademyChampions York City Futsal have a third successive home game while hosting Manchester Academy at the University of York Sports Centre on Sunday afternoon (kick-off 2.30pm).
The Minstermen overcame Loughborough Academy 7-1 last time out through hat-tricks from both James Briars and Dylan McAvoy, together with acting skipper Miguel De Vicente's ninth goal of the campaign. That was despite being without a couple of leading performers in regular captain Daniel Pedras and England international Robbie Bettson.
It raised their advantage at the top of the table to six points and followed a 4-1 triumph against Nottingham seven days earlier, when De Vicente (2), Jamie Bettson and McAvoy were each on the mark.
Still unbeaten York City Futsal could be on the way to another titleLatest opponents Manchester were actually York's opening opponents in mid-September but found themselves absolutely crushed in an 11-2 scoreline.
Since then they've had a couple of successes when travelling to Nottingham Trent (6-2) and Derby (4-3); those adding to away defeats against Durham (4-8), Liverpool (1-5) and far more narrowly at home, Loughborough (2-3), Tranmere (5-6) and Derby (3-4).
With only a couple of fixtures elsewhere, York could actually move eight points clear should they manage an eighth consecutive victory, as it's third-in-the-table meeting fourth with Derby venturing to Durham, while Liverpool entertain bottom side Nottingham.
