Baneshwar, Kumari win

KATHMANDU - Baneshwar Recreation Center and Kumari Futsal emerged victorious on Friday in the ongoing Red Bull National Futsal League underway in the capital.

In the entertaining encounter of Group A, Baneshwar defeated home team Imperial Futsal 6-5. Curfew Rasaili scored a hat-trick while Karun Gyawali netted a brace for the winning side.

Likewise, Dipu Lama added another goal. Nirajan Gaire scored four goals for Imperial while Dipak Ghising added another. Imperial's Nirajan Gaire was declared the man-of-the-match.

After the win, Baneshwar has climbed to the second place in the group with 25 points from 11 matches while Imperial is in the sixth position after collecting nine points from equal number of matches.

In Group B match, Kumari registered a comprehensive 8-2 win over Kirtipur Futsal. Abhisek Rijal scored four goals for Kumari while Suresh Lama, Ritesh Khadgi, Asish Lama and Rupesh Chettri notched one goal each for the winning side. Likewise, Amit Tamang and Yaman Maharjan netted one goal each for Kirtipur. After the victory, Kumari has collected 20 points from 11 matches to stay in the second place in the group.
