Futsal league: Tahachal climb to top

Nov 12, 2016- Tahachal and White Horse Futsal recorded a contrasting wins in the Red Bull National Futsal League on Friday.

Tahachal hammered Highway 9-2, while Kumari battled to a 3-2 win over Adarsha Futsal. The win lifted Tahachal to top of the Group ‘B’ with 13 points, while Harisiddhi pip Kumari for the second place thanks to their superior goal difference after tying on 10 points.

Man-of-the-match Ram Kumar Kumal scored five goals, while Raj Shahi added a brace and Anil Tamang and Sujit Budathoki scored one goal each for Tahachal. Ramesh Tamang and Jangbu Sherpa replied for Highway.

In the Group ‘A’ match, White Horse had to toil hard for their victory with Pranesh Gorkhali and Manjil Maharjan scoring a goal each for them. They also added the third courtesy an own goal from Daniel Shrestha of Adarsha. Raju Budathoki and Dilip Tamang scored for Adarsha. The victory saw White Horse go level on 10 points with second-placed Baneshwor Recreation Centre. Kickoff Futsal lead the Group ‘A’ standings with 15 points from five games.
