Red Bull National Futsal League: Dhuku hammer Baneshwor 8-4

Dhuku Futsal Hub eased to a 8-4 win over Baneshwor Recreational Centre, while Kumari and Samakhushi Futsal played a 5-5 draw in the Red Bull National Futsal League on Thursday.

Suraj Raut completed a hat-trick, Sabi KC and Prabesh Adhikari scored braces and Anshu Karki added the another goal for hosts Dhuku. For Baneshwor, Sunil Tamang struck twice while Mansajan Rajbhandari and Sanjay Shrestha scored one goal each. KC was adjudged man-of-the-match.

Kickoff Futsal lead the Group ‘A’ standings with 15 points from five matches. Baneshwor are second with 10 points from six games.
In another match held at Paknajol, hosts Kumari Futsal were forced to share the spoils in a high-scoring thriller. Abhishek Rijal scored all five goals for Kumari Futsal. Nabin Lama scored a brace, while Dev Chandra Thapa, Rabi Thapa and Shyam Nepali added one goal each for the visiting Samakhushi Futsal. Kumari goalkeeper Arpan Karki was named man-of-the-match.

Harisiddhi Futsal stay atop the Group ‘B’ standings with 11 points from six matches. Kumari are second despite tying on 11 points from Harisiddhi.

Tahachal will take on Highway Futsal in Tahachal and White Horse will play against Adarsha Futsal in Sukedhara on Friday. The 16-team tournament offers Rs 1 million to the eventual champions and Rs 500,000 to the runners-up. The best player and goalkeeper of the tournament will also walk away with Rs 50,000 each.
