Vital Football/York CityCity Futsal ready for next challengeEngland international Robbie Bettson was expecting a tough game for FA National Futsal Super League North Division Two champions York City Futsal at Loughborough Academy on Sunday afternoon (kick-off 5.00pm).
The Minstermen approach the contest having won all three of their league games so far and already with an impressively favourable goal-difference of plus fifteen.
However, Loughborough also began their campaign strongly with a trio of victories against current leaders Tranmere Rovers (H 10-4), Nottingham Trent (H 7-4) and Manchester Academy (A 3-2), until then losing 6-11 at Durham last time out.
"We're expecting a really tough game from Loughborough on Sunday," Bettson admitted. "They're just off the back of a defeat at Durham. Before that they won all their games, so we expect they are going to be there at the end of the season. We're just going to have to make sure that we're really focused."
Elsewhere this weekend, it's Durham v Nottingham, Tranmere v Liverpool and Derby v Manchester.
Following a couple of recent blank weekends, York, who are yet to play at home this season, warmed up for their latest challenge with a 7-3 friendly victory at Leeds Beckett on Sunday afternoon.
But City are now approaching a very busy period in which they are scheduled to be in action over five successive weekends.
