Redbull National Futsal League: Rajani overcome White Horse 3-1

Oct 29, 2016- Rajani Futsal beat White Horse 3-1 while Harisiddhi and Tahachal Futsal played out a 3-3 draw in the Red Bull National Futsal League on Friday.

Played at the White Horse pitch in Sukedhara, Suman Karki scored a brace and Rusan KC added the another goal for Rajani Futsal. Manjil Maharjan was on the scoresheet for the hosts. Rajani goalkeeper Suleman Chinnal was named man-of-the-match.

Kickoff Futsal lead the Group ‘A’ standings with 12 points, while Baneshwor Recreation Centre second with seven points. Rajani also have seven points but are one position down to third on goal difference alone.

In another game played in Harisiddhi, Lalitpur, the hosts shared the spoils with Group ‘B’ leaders Tahachal. Niraj Maharjan, Lal Bahadur Tamang and Raifi Maharjan scored for Harisiddhi, while Sudip Budathoki scored all three goals for the visiting team. Tahachal lead the group with 10 points from five games. Harisiddhi are second with eight points from five matches.

In all, 16 teams are participating in the highest cash-prized futsal tournament. The champions will receive Rs 1 million and the runners-up will take home Rs 500,000. The best player and the best goalkeeper of the tournament are also assured of Rs 50,000 each. The tournament is played under home and away format with winners of each of the two pools to play for title.

Kickoff will take on Dhuku Futsal in Sitapaila and Kirtipur will play against home team Samakhushi Futsal on Saturday.

Rajani triumphs

KATHMANDU, Oct 28: Rajani Futsal on Friday emerged victorious while Harisiddhi Futsal and Tahachal Futsal settled for a draw in the ongoing Red Bull National Futsal League being held in the capital.

In the Group A match held at White Horse's home turf, Rajani registered 3-1 victory over home team. Suman Karki netted twice for the winning side while Rushan KC added another goal. Likewise, Manjil Maharjan scored a consolation goal for White Horse. Rajani's goalkeeper Suleman Chinnal was declared the man-of-the-match. With the win, Rajani has climbed to third position in the table collecting seven points from five matches. Baneshwar Recreation, which has equal points to that of Rajani, is second on goal difference. Kick Off Futsal leads the group with 12 points.

In the Group B match, home team Harisiddhi Futsal and Tahachal Futsal played 3-3 draw.

Niraj Maharjan, Lal Bahadur Tamang and Raifi Maharjan netted one goal each for Harisiddhi while Sudip Budhathoki scored a hat-trick for Tahachal. Sunil Basnet of Tahachal was declared the man-of-the-match. Tahachal is on top of the group with 10 points from five matches while Harisddhi stands second with eight points playing equal five matches.
