My RepublicaKumari, White Horse win October 18, 2016KATHMANDU, Oct 18: Kumari Futsal and White Horse Futsal became victorious in the Red Bull Futsal League on Tuesday.
Kumari defeated Sankhamul Futsal 8-5 in the match held on its home ground. Abhisek Rijal netted four goals for Kumari while Ashish Lama scored twice. Similarly, Sushan Lama and Subesh Lama added one goal each for the winning side. Sankhamul's Sher Bahadur Thapa scored a hat-trick but couldn't save his team from defeat. Sanjog Rai and Suraj Maharjan netted a goal each for Sankhamul. Sanjog Rai of Sankhamul was declared man-of-the-match.
Similarly, White Horse registered away win beating Imperial Futsal 9-1. Man-of-the-match Ritesh Lama scored four goals for White Horse while Manoj Prajapati and Sujit Prajapati netted 2 goals each. Manjil Maharjan added another goal for the winning side. Surendra Budhathoki scored a consolation goal for Imperial.

Abhishek Rijal scored four goals for the home team. Ashish Lama also added two goals while Sushan Mahat and Subesh Lama grabbed one each for Kumari Futsal. Sher Bahadur Thapa’s hat-trick went in vain for Shankhamul. Skipper Sanjog Rai and Suraj Maharjan scored the other goals for the visiting team. Shankhamul skipper Rai was declared man-of-the-match.
In the day’s another game, White Horse Futsal hammered hosts Imperial Futsal 9-1. Ritesh Lama alone struck four goals for the visitors at the highest cash-prized futsal resumed on Monday after Dashain festival break. Manoj Prajapati and Sujit Prajapati also scored a brace each while Manjil Maharjan was also on target for the visitors. Surendra Budhathoki scored a consolation goal for the home team. Lama was named man-of-the-match.
A total of 16 teams are participating in the final round of the tournament after selection tournament organised across the country by AMA Events. The champions will receive one million rupees and runners-up will take home Rs 500,000. Each team will consist of 12 players, one coach and a manager. The best player of the tournament and the best goalkeeper will earn Rs 50,000 each.
Kickoff Futsal will take on Baneshwor Recreation Centre in Sitapaila, while Kirtipur Futsal will play Tahachal Futsal in Kirtipur on Wednesday.
