Adult Futsal league

The Garden City Recreation Commission is sponsoring an adult Futsal League (Indoor Soccer) this year.

Teams will play a 12-game regular season, with the top eight making the postseason playoffs. Play will be 5 vs. 5, including a goalkeeper, and FIFA rules will be used.

Team trophies will be awarded to the top two teams in each division. First-place individual team members will receive a t-shirt.

Deadline for registration is Nov. 7. Registration fee is $180 per team and an additional $20 per player. Registration packets may be picked up at the GCRC office, 310 N. 6th.

Youth Futsal league

The GCRC is organizing a Youth Competitive Futsal (Indoor Soccer) league for this winter.

Registration deadline is Nov. 14 with a registration fee of $30 per player. Teams will play an 8-game regular season schedule, followed by a single-elimination tournament.

All age divisions will play 5 vs. 5 with a maximum of 10 players on each team. A minimum of four teams is required for each division to be organized.

Age determination will be noted on charts that will be with the team registration packet. Boys and girls divisions will be offered at 13-14 years, 11-12 years, U-10, U-9, U-8, U-7 and U-5.
