VN win Futsal World Cup fair play award

The VN futsal team won the fair play award following their impressive performance at the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup.

VN only received four yellow cards during four matches and they earned a ticket to compete in the round of 16 of the event.
VN beat Guatemala 4-2 and lost to Paraguay and Italy 1-7 and 0-2 in the group round. In the round of 16, VN lost to Russia 0-7.

The tournament wrapped up in Colombia yesterday, with Argentina claiming the title after defeating Russia 5-4. Iran took third place after a 4-3 penalty shootout win over Portugal following a 2-2 draw.

VN’s futsal team will gather in HCM City today to prepare for the coming Southeast Asian tournament.
