Vital Football - York CityDerby Futsal 1 York City Futsal 5FA National Futsal Super League North Division Two champions York City continued their great start while recording a 5-1 victory at last season's runners-up Derby in what was head coach Junior Roberti's 100th National League game in charge.
Skipper Daniel Pedras struck twice and Jack Overton, Miguel De Vicente and Fabinho Almeida were also on target as the visitors followed up their recent 11-2 triumph at Manchester Academy.
The influential Pedras gave them an early lead with a fine break and finish, although goalkeeper Philip Codd was soon required to come to their rescue before Almeida went close to a second goal.
However, Derby equalised from a penalty following Codd's illegal challenge, only for Overton to reclaim the visitors' lead from Pedras' cross.
That soon became 3-1 in their favour when Pedras skipped past a succession of challenges to claim his second of the contest.
The Portuguese playmaker went close to his hat-trick ahead of the break - and De Vicente struck the woodwork after it, with Codd reacting well at the other end before Pedras was once more denied by the impressive opposition keeper.
York's England international Robbie Bettson was similarly thwarted, but his colleagues still extended their advantage through De Vicente after more fine work from Pedras.
The Minstermen then wrapped it up during the final seconds when Almeida volleyed a fifth goal to continue a perfect start to their title defence.
