Russia face Argentina in the 2016 Futsal World Cup final on Saturday.

Russia will take on Argentina in the 2016 Fifa Futsal World Cup final at Coliseo El Pueblo, Cali on 1 October, Saturday. The clash between these two sides is going to be an exciting affair, especially after their impressive performances in the tournament.

Iran, who eliminated Brazil in the Round of 16 were on course to beat Russia in the semi-final. However, they fell short as the latter grabbed a 4-3 victory on 27 September to seal a berth in the last two of the tournament.

Argentina, on the other hand registered a comfortable 5-2 win over Portugal to make their way into the final. Both these teams are making it to the final for the first time, meaning there will be a new world Futsal champion on Saturday.

Sergey Skorovich saw his side win all three group stage fixtures, which saw them finish on top of Group B. The South America side were forced to settle for a draw against Costa Rica, while they won the other two group stage matches to finish their group on top of the table with seven points.

In the knockout round of this edition of the Futsal World Cup, Russia have scored 17 goals in three matches. They will be looking to extend their run when they face Argentina in the final. The South American nation, on the other hand have managed 11 goals, while conceding only two in the process, which came against Portugal.

Kick-off is set for 8.30pm BST/2.30pm local time. The 2016 Futsal World Cup will be telecast live on EuroSport 2 UK. The match can also be live streamed on desktop, mobile and tablets via Eurosport's player.
