Costa Rica’s Futsal National Team advances to second stage of Futsal World Championship

FIFA Futsal World Championship Colombia 2016

Costa Rica’s Futsal National team classified to the next stage of the FIFA Futsal World Championship Colombia 2016. Costa Rica and Argentina tied 2-2 and this result allowed Costa Rica to classify in third position accumulating 4 points, while Argentina classified in first position with 7 points and Kazakhstan in second place with 6. Costa Rica played a good game against Argentina; the national team opened the score in minute 18’ and the second goal came in minute 29’ however Argentina managed to even out the score with goals in minutes 30’ and 34’.

La Sele Futsal had one win, one loss and a tie in this first stage.

Costa Rica will face Portugal, the leader of Group A, next Wednesday at 7 p.m. Costa Rica time.
