My RepublicaRed Bull Futsal league to begin from Sept 26September 18, 2016KATHMANDU, Sept 18: Red Bull Futsal League is set to begin in Kathmandu from September 24.
A total of 16 teams will compete for the title and the highest cash prize of Rs 1 million in the tournament that is going to be organized by the AMA Events.
Red Bull is sponsoring this futsal tournament with the target of making it popular in the country like other major football tournaments of the country -- Martyrs Memorial A Division League, Red Bull National League, and Red Bull Budha Subba Gold Cup -- which it sponsors.
The runner up of the tournament will be handed Rs 500,000 while he best player and goalkeeper of the tournament will be presented Rs 50, 000 each.
Participant teams are allowed to field A dividon players in the tournament which is expected to be last for two months.
All the teams will play home and away matches at different venues of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur.
