Barrie Futsal Club open tryouts

The Barrie Futsal Club will be holding open tryouts for its elite/competitive travel teams beginning later this month.

For the men's open group, 16 years old and up, tryouts will be held Thursday, Sept. 29 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Secondary School, located at 201 Ashford Dr., in Barrie's south end.

For the under-13 girls team, tryouts are scheduled for Monday, Sept. 26 and Monday, Oct. 3 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Romeo Dallaire Ecole Secondaire, located at 736 Essa Rd.

For the women's open group, 16 years old and up, tryouts are slated for Monday, Sept. 26 and Monday, Oct. 3 from 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Romeo Dallaire Ecole Secondaire.

The Barrie Futsal Club competes in tournaments and leagues which are fully sanctioned by the Ontario and Canadian soccer associations. The game of futsal is the only form of indoor soccer recognized by FIFA.
