Laura AlvaradoSeptember 15, 2016FIFA Futsal World Championship Colombia 2016Costa Rica’s FutSal National Team took a hard loss against Kazakhstan in their second game of the group stage, the first goal by Kazakhstan came early in the game, Costa Rica’s Alejandro Paniagua managed to even the score but less than two minutes later Kazakhstan scored again; the third goal by the Kazakhs came just 20 seconds into the second half.
Kazakhstan was simply superior, technically organized , with a strong offensive line and in control of the game. Costa Rica’s goalkeeper Jairo Toruño despite the score had a good performance blocking several shots.
Costa Rica seemed disorganized and wasn’t able to capitalize in the opportunities it had to score. This result complicates Costa Rica’s scenario to classify into the next stage, the three points earned in their game against Salomon Island help but La Sele Futsal is obligated to get a win over Argentina on Sunday.
