Futsalroos fall to rampant Brazil

The Futsalroos have suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of superpower Brazil in their second match of the FIFA Futsal World Cup Colombia.

The South Americans were simply too good for Australia, running out convincing 11-1 winners.

Things weren’t looking too bad early on with Greg Giovenali scoring an equalizer after Rodrigo had given Brazil an early lead.

But Fernandinho hammered home a shot from a tight angle to put Brazil in front soon after before Falcao took over, finishing with a hat-trick as they put the Futsalroos to the sword after the break. Despite the loss, the Futsalroos can still qualify for the knockout stage if they can beat Ukraine in their final group match this weekend.
