The NationThailand beat Cuba to get their Futsal World Cup campaign back on trackSeptember 14, 2016Thailand were made to toil before recording a 8-5 victory over Cuban to stay in contention to qualify for the knockout rounds of the Fifa Futsal World Cup.
Given that Cuba suffered a thumping 7-1 loss at the hands of Egypt in their Group B opener, it was expected the Thais would face far easier task than their opening outing against third-ranked Russia, who beat them 6-4.
However, they found themselves behind the Central American side up until five minutes after the break before two goals in barely three second-half by Jetsada Chudech and Kritsada Wongkaeo minutes set them on the way to an otherwise unconvincing win.
The win moved the Kingdom to the second place in the table with three points from two matches ahead of Egypt, who provide opposition in their final group fixture on Saturday (Bangkok time), on goals scored after the African side lost 6-1 to the Russians in the group's other match.
