Inaugural women's futsal league from October 17

In a major boost to women's football in the sultanate, the Oman Football Association (OFA) has begun its preparations to host the inaugural women's futsal league from October.

The country's first ever women's futsal league will be played from October 17-December 7, and as part of its awareness programme, the OFA will host a three-day Level 1 course for referees (CLICK HERE for more details) ahead of the league. The course will be held from October 6-8.

Successful participants at the course will officiate during the league.

Interested candidates can register with the OFA till September 26. The course will cover various theoretical and practical aspects of futsal refereeing.

Last February, the OFA had organised an inaugural futsal coaching course, which was attended by 23 participants. It was conducted by Shahrazad, a FIFA-accredited coach from Iran.
