Khalid bin Hamad crowns champion teams

Manama, Sept. 6 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Athletic Association, congratulated Safra Youth Center for achieving the title of the fourth Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centres Futsal League under the slogan (#meeting_of_generations), organized by the Ministry of Youth & Sports Affairs from August 8 to September 5.

His Highness also congratulated the Deaf team for winning the first Khalid bin Hamad People with Disabilities Futsal League title. His Highness stressed that the two teams deserved to win as they delivered high level performances throughout the two leagues.

This came during His Highness’ crowning both teams at the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation hall, in the presence of Hisham bin Mohamed Al Jowder, Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs, sponsors and sport association heads.

His Highness stressed that Safra team is considered to be one of the strongest teams that participated in the previous editions of the Khalid bin Hamad League and it’s proven as they hold the title of this edition of the League, by appearing in a strong and honourable image to achieve this amazing result. His Highness said that Safra Youth Center has managed to build a strong youth team.

His Highness praised the outstanding performance of the players from Safra Youth Center in the final, which led them to win the title after an exciting match against Zallaq Youth Center. His Highness pointed out that the high enthusiasm, persistence and determination of the players led them to achieve the title, which confirms the good steps taken by the teams’ administration in selecting talented players. His Highness said that the technical and administrative members of the team had done a good job in preparing the players to achieve this outstanding result.

HH Shaikh Khalid also praised the outstanding performance given by Safra Youth Centre team throughout the league and qualifying to the finals to play a strong match against Zallaq Youth Center team, wishing them luck and success in the next edition.

His Highness praised the performance of the players, lauding the two teams positive image in the matches, and he noted the outstanding sportsmanship by the two teams.

HH Shaikh Khalid said that the establishment of a People with Disabilities comes under the directives of the wise leadership, which is always keen on supporting people with disabilities. His Highness expressed his satisfaction with the People with Disabilities matches and he congratulated the Deaf team for achieving the title.

HH Shaikh Khalid said that the People with Disabilities League gives an indication of the great success by the Ministry of Youth & Sports Affairs in attracting teams with disabilities, and creating a special gathering for a honourable competition for this category.

HH Shaikh Khalid praised the wide public attendance witnessed in the league, especially during the final match, as the audience made sure to come and stand by their teams and cheering them in the closing match.

His Highness expressed his satisfaction with the sporting spirit displayed in the matches, which confirms the strong abilities of Bahraini youth in sport of Futsal, in addition to the competitive spirit displayed in the closing match with a high level performance from both teams. His Highness said that the final match was the best closure for the fourth Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal League and first People with Disabilities League.
