Futsal League to conclude on Monday

Manama, Sep. 4 (BNA): The fourth Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal League and first People with Disabilities League will conclude tomorrow at the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation hall. The closing ceremony will be held Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Athletic Association


The Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs organised the sporting events under the slogan #meeting_of_generations and organized the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs. The final day activities will kick-off at 4PM with Abu Saiba Youth Center League facing Al Shakhoora Youth Center team to determine the third and fourth positions.

The second match of the day starts 5:30 with the Deaf team facing Harakia society team in the final of the Disabilities League and the final match will have Zallaq Youth Center team, the title holder, facing Safra Youth Center team at 6:30PM.

The league’s final will have an exciting conclusion as both of the teams have high capabilities according to the results. Zallaq managed to reach the second round with 7 points, they qualified from the Round of 16 by defeating Hoora-Gudaiybiya with a score of 5-2 goals, then passed the quarter finals by defeating South Sehla with a score of 3-2 goals in the penalties and finally defeated Al Shakhoora in the semi-finals with a score of 3-1 goals in the penalties.

As for Safra team, the team finished the second round with 9 points, qualifying from the Round of 16 by defeating Jurdab with a score 4-3 penalties, then passed the quarter finals by defeating Salmabad with a score 4-2 in the penalties, and finally the semi-finals by defeating Abu Saiba with a score of 4-3.

Both teams have high attacking capabilities, and Safra seems to outperform Zallaq, as Safra score tally is at 29 goals before the semi-finals against Zallaq’s 27 goals. The two teams have qualified players who could change the course of the match, In the Zallaq team they include: captain Radhid Bakhit Al Dossari, goal keeper Mahboob Za’al, Atiya Mohamed Khalaf, Faris Al Hosni and Mohamed Al Sinjar. Safra, in their side have game changers like : Fawaz Abdul Sattar, Abdullah Saleh, Ahmed Saleh and Mohammed Abdullah.
