Gulf Digital NewsStage is set for futsal league finalSun, 04 Sep 2016The organising committee of Fourth Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal League is putting the finishing touches for the final match which will be held tomorrow.
The closing ceremony will include programmes, especially since the final day will have three matches.
The first match starts at 4pm to determine the third and fourth placer teams of the Youth Centers Futsal League.
The second match to determine the winners of the first league for people with special needs will start at 5pm with Al Harakia Society team facing the Deaf team. The final match at 6pm will see the winners of yesterday’s match facing each other.
A special rehearsal will be held today at the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation hall where the organising committee will seek to finish the arrangements early in order to have the perfect closing ceremony.
The organising committee said the doors are open for anyone to come to the closing ceremony, which will be full of surprises.
Scholarship
Gulf University acting president Dr Muhannad Al Mashhadani announced that the best player of the Fourth Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal League will receive a scholarship and the team members of the first-ranked team will receive a 50 per cent tuition fee discount.
The university sponsorship for the league was praised by First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of Bahrain Athletics Association Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Khalid said that having Gulf University as a strategic partner in the fourth Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal League and first People with Disabilities League comes in line with the university’s keenness to support the event, adding that the university’s presence will add to the success of the league.
“The sponsorship by Gulf University is proof of its support to the education process in the Kingdom, as its is offering special awards that support the education of the Bahraini youth and their future,” Shaikh Khalid said.
Al Mashhadani said the university seeks to have its mark on the league.
