Al Shakhoora march into quarters

Al Shakhoora, Karranah, Central and Abu Saiba booked their spots in the quarter-finals of the Fourth Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal League after defeating Dumistan, Bu Quwah, Karbabad and Sanabis, respectively.

Al Shakhoora beat Dumistan in penalty shootout after the game ended in a 3-3 draw.

Hussain Sabt, Mohamed Salman and Ahmed Mohamed Salman scored for Al Shakhoora while Jaffar Ali, Hani Ali and Watah Ahmed were on the score sheet for Damistan.

Al Shakhoora won the penalty shootout by a two-goal difference. Al Shakhoora’s Ahmed Mohamed Salman won the man of the match award.

In the second match, Karranah defeated Bu Quwah 5-0. Sayed Mustafa Hilal scored twice while Sayed Sharaf Faisal, Jassim Ahmed and Ebrahim Khalil scored one each.

Award

The man of the match award was given to Karranah’s Saleh Mahdi.

The third match saw Central defeat Karbabad 4-2.

Central’s Ali Abdulrasool netted twice with teammates Ahmed Abdulrasool, who won the man of the match award, and Abdullah Abdulwahed scoring once. Mahmoud Radhi and Sayed Mahmoud Khalil scored Karbabad’s goals.

The last match of the night ended with Abu Saiba downing Sanabis 4-1.

Two of Abu Saiba’s goals were scored by Sayed Hassan Maki, who ended up winning the man of the match award, while Jaffar Al Bana and Hameed Jassim Al Khabaz scored the other two.

Abdullah Ali scored Sanabis’ only goal.

With these results, Al Shakhoora will face Karranah in the first game of the quarter-final while Central will face Abu Saiba.

The first edition of the league for people with special needs semi-final matches kick off today with Harakia Society facing the Special Education team at 5pm, while the Deaf Society will go up against the Deaf team after that.

The matches will be held in the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation (BDSF) Hall at Isa Sports City.

The preliminary results of Group “A” ended with Harakia Society team qualifying for lead position after defeating The Friendship Society For the Blind and the Bahrain Deaf Society.

As for Group “B” preliminaries results, the Special Education team qualified for the second position after defeating Hearing Impaired team.

The Deaf Society team from Group “A” managed to qualify for second position after defeating the Friendship Society For the Blind. The Deaf team qualified for the lead position of Group 2 after defeating the Special Education team and the Hearing Impaired team.
