G.O.A.L.S PREMIER CUP – 5v5 Street Soccer-Futsal

For the second year in a row, a high energy Street Soccer-Futsal tournament will be held at RiverWorks. On Sunday September 4, soccer players from around the region will gather to play 5v5 games at this entertainment and sports complex along the Buffalo River. Altogether, 200 players will be attending this year’s tournament.

The G.O.A.L.S PREMIER CUP has become a highly sought after and respected tournament. This past May, the games sold out by attracting teams from as far aways as Central NY and Southern Ontario. Thanks to the professionally run games, and the premier waterfront venue, G.O.A.L.S Premier Cup organizers have successfully been able to raise funds for their City of Buffalo’s “Back To School Supplies Drives”.

This tournament series has been a long time in the making. The game of soccer has become an institution in the city of Buffalo. From the city’s youth soccer scene to the arrival of soccer bars in the city, to the arrival of refugees who live and breathe soccer, Buffalo has suddenly become a soccer hub.

Similar to the barrios in Brazil or the concrete courts in downtown London the elements of our playing surface, indoor-outside facility at the Buffalo RiverWorks, music, MC-host will give you the feeling like you’re at the Rucker Park for soccer.

“It’s great to have this event at such a beautiful and scenic location,” said Scott Bell (Co-Founder/ Director). “All of the participants are excited about the event and even more for the great cause to assist students in need with supplies for the new school year.”
