Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centres' Futsal league continues

Manama, Aug. 20 (BNA): The teams of Al Shakhoora Youth Centre, Bu Quwah Youth Centre, Karranah Youth Center and Dumistan Youth Centre qualified to the second stage of the Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centres Futsal league and the First People with Disabilities League.

Al Shakhoora cruised into the second stage after leading Group 1 by leading with 6 points in goals over Bu Quwah who are at second position. The third position went to Al Hamala team. Al Qarya team are placed in last position of Group 1 since they had no points.

The last match of Group 1 ended with Bu Quwah defeating Al Shakhoora with a score of 3-1, with the goals of Al Shakhoora being scored by: Sayed Hassan Hashim, Hussain Abdulameer, Ali Hamid and the Shakhoora goal was scored by Amin Ebrahim.

In the second match, Al Hamala defeated Al Qarya with a score of 7-2, with the goals of Al Hamala being scored by: Hani Saleh "2 goals", Ahmed Abdullah "2 goals", Ali Abdullah, Fadhel Abdulaziz, Ali Saleh and the goals for Al Qarya were scored by Sadeq Abdulaziz and Hussain Mohamed Jassim.

In Group B, Karranah team qualified by leading the group with 6 points and more direct goals over Dumistan and Daih

Karranah won their last match of the preliminary round by defeating Al Jasra with a score of 7-2. the goals of Karranah were scored by: Sayed Adnan Alawi "hat-trick", Ebrahim Khali "2 goals", Sharaf Faisal, Jassim Ahmed and the goals for Al Qarya were scored by: Abdulaziz Ali and Ali Mohamed Khayri.

As for Dumistan, they qualified by defeating Al Daih with with a score of 4-1. The goals for Dumistan were scored by: Ali Ebrahim "2 goals" and Taha Ahmed "2 goals".


Deserved win

Ali Abbas, a player from Bu Quwah Youth Center team, was delighted for his team qualifying to the second stage of Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal league.

He stressed that the Bu Quwah team has succeeded in achieved a well-deserved victory in the latest match of Group 1 against Al Shakhoora Youth Center team, adding that the team is looking forward to continue providing high level performances, and seek to reach the finals.

Abbas said that the team is looking forward to win the title, which is considered legitimate right for all the centers that have qualified to the second stage. He wished all the best for his team in all the remainder of the competitions.


Leaders despite loss

Hamad Issa from Al Shakhoora Youth Center team, said: "We did not deliver the required level in our last game against Bu Quwah Youth Center team. We lost due to suffering from a shortage during the match. But even then, we still qualified for Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal league second stage as Group 1 leader.

Issa added by saying: "We will seek to provide the best performance in the quarter finals, especially since those matches are not divided by two. We will rely on high concentration, enthusiasm and deliver a strong performance in the next match, especially since our ambition is achieving the title of the League. "


Exit from the league explained

Ali Yasin from Al Jasra Youth Center team, stressed that his team’s early exit from the Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal league and the First People with Disabilities League, was the result of many factors.

Yasin pointed out that the most prominent factors was that this is the team's first time playing indoor football, followed by low fitness and his team suffering from fatigue.

Yasin also stressed that his team was not lucky in the matches, pointing out that the other teams appeared physically fitter.

He said that the League has very high level of plays, especially with the presence of strong teams. He thanked the Organizing Committee for their efforts and wished for his team to develop and deliver a better performance in future Leagues.



'Our goal is the Khalid bin Hamad League title'

Saleh Mahdi, a player from Karranah Youth Center team, explained that the his team’s goal is to reach the advanced stages of the Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal league and the First People with Disabilities League.

Mahdi pointed out that his team was one of the teams that reached the finals last year in the third place and stressed that his team’s desire was to win the title of this years' league.

Saleh pointed out that the league's system has changed this year, which makes it difficult to reach the advanced stages, but expressed great confidence in his fellow players to deliver the best levels and achieve positive results.

He added that the Karranah Youth Center team players are dependable and will reach the farthest point in the league.


Damistan deserves to win

Redha Hammad, an administrator from Al Daih Youth Center team, stressed that Damistan team deserved to reach the second stages of Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal league and the First People with Disabilities League.

Dumistan Youth Center team defeated Al Daih Youth Center team with four straight goals and snatch qualification from Al Daih team, which won the first two rounds but had to bow out due to losing in the final of the League.

Hammad pointed that Dumistan team prepared better for the match, noting that his team was unsuccessful in the match and stressed that the players sought to correct things but with little benefit.

Redha pointed out that Dumistan Youth Center team played as team and took advantage of Al Daih defense mistakes. He confirmed that they deserved to qualify after they played excellently.


216 goal after the second round .. 47 yellow cards and 4 reds

The second round of the Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centers Futsal league and the First People with Disabilities League record, witnessed a record of 112 goals in 16 games with an average 7 goals, and a total of 216 goal for the first and second rounds.

The third group scored a total of 19 goals in the second round, followed by the second group with 18 goals and the first group with 9 goals. The highest recorded result of goals was by Al Jasra Youth Center which scored 11 goals.

Hassan Maki from Abu Saiba team took the lead in the list of scorers after he scored 8 in the second round. The first and second rounds had 47 yellow card and 4 red cards.

If the 26 goals scored in the first day of the third round are added, then the total of goals will be 242 goals in 36 games.


Shaikh Khalid's initiative to launch a league for people with disabilities praised

Mr. Ibrahim Al Sinan praised the 4th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League and the first League for People with Disabilities, expressing pride at the initiative of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth & Sport and President of Bahrain Athletics Association, to host a league for people with disabilities. This came during his visit to watch teams in action during the league. Mr. Al Sinan, whose company Majestic Cars is one of the golden sponsors to the event, was keen to meet some players who are taking part in the event in the presence of HH Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Media Office

Mr. Al Sinan confirmed that HH's initiative translates the wise leadership's instructions to include people with disabilities and integrate them in the society. He pointed HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa's keenness to provide the ideal environment that accommodates the activities of people with disabilities and support them in order to benefit from their abilities as well as their capabilities in different areas, including the sports for disabled. "This sport initiative has many dimensions and positive goals that will reflect positively on the Bahraini society," he said, praising the efforts of the Organising Committee of the League.


Goalkeeper ruled out due to injury

Salah Abdullah, the goalkeeper of Hoora and Qudaibiya Youth Center, missed his team's game against Arad Youth Center due to injury. However, he was keen to watch his teammates from the stands where he was seen holding crutches.


Shakhura face Dumistan . Bu Quwah versus Karranah in the second round

Following the conclusion of the preliminary round in Group 1. Group two matches in the last-16 rounds have been already set with Shakhura team set to play Dumistan team at 5:00pm, followed by Karranah team against Bu Quwah team. It's worth noting that Shakhura team have progressed to the last-16 round as leaders of Group 1, while Bu Quwah were the runners up of the same group. Karranah finished on top of Group 2, followed by Dumistan in second place. The matches of the last-16 round will be played at Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation's hall in Isa Town.
