Starting from the 27th of May, Futsal enthusiasts can follow @PremierFutsalHQ on Twitter and stay in touch with the entire talent hunt process across ten cities through looping six-second video profiles of each participant as they demonstrate futsal skills and pass the ball on to the next participant.
These videos will be created using the Vine app and will be Tweeted in a single thread on @PremierFutsalHQ using #JustKickIt.
In addition to this, the final event of the talent hunt in each city will be broadcast live on Periscope from @PremierFutsalHQ which can be viewed directly within the Tweets of this official account.
Launchpad, the nationwide talent hunt program of Premier Futsal, kicking off on May 27th in Mumbai, will identify the top 40 Futsallers from eight franchise cities namely - Mumbai, Goa, Cochin, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad and New Delhi. The chosen Indian youngsters will be drafted into the teams of their respective cities. Premier Futsal, the world's first multi-national team-based Futsal league, is set to take place in India from July 15th to July 24th with each game split into two halves of 20 minutes each. Over 50 International Futsalers, from four Continents and 21 countries are expected to participate.
Abhinandan Balasubramanian, CEO, Premier Futsal, said, "This is the start of a broader partnership with Twitter for Premier Futsal and the talent hunt is a unique opportunity for an Indian footballer to be selected for the inaugural Premier Futsal season and play alongside Futsal World Cup winners."
Commenting on the partnership, Aneesh Madani, head of sports partnerships, Twitter India, said, ""Over the past three years, Twitter has laid the foundation to provide more for the fan in partnership with new sports leagues. There has been a 400% growth in video consumption across Twitter, Vine and Periscope over the past one year."
