Futsal: USA names 14-man roster for Croatia camp

U.S. futsal national team coach Keith Tozer has called in 14 players for a Jan. 22-Feb. 2 training camp from in Umag, Croatia, that will include seven games. The squad is preparing for the Costa Rica-hosted 2016 Concacaf Futsal Championship for World Cup qualification in May.

“This trip to Europe is important in our overall preparation for our players and team for the upcoming qualifiers in May,” said Tozer. “It helps me to start identifying players for our final roster and it also prepares players for competitive matches that will be extremely important to qualify for the FIFA World Cup.”

The USA will play Croatia (Jan. 24), Slovenia (Jan. 25 & 27), France U-21s (Jan. 26), Lebanon (Jan. 29 & 31), Montenegro (Feb. 1).
