Interview with Gabriel Petersen, Greenland Futsal National Team Goalkeeper

1. How does it feel to be in the squad that will play against Czech Republic?
It is always great to be in the national team. And i can't wait to meet their team, it is really exciting.

2. Do you feel prepared for the games?
I had a minor injury after we played against Denmark, but i already started to prepare myself for the matches.

3. The Czech Republic is ranked 17 in the world. How do you think it will go in the games?
I think it will also give us a lot of experience to play against them. I believe it's going to be a good match for both sides. But it will not be easy.

4. What do you know about the Czech Republic?
I don't know much about Czezh Republic, but i know they have really great football players like Petr Cech, Tomas Rosicky, and legends like Milan Baros and of course Pavel Nedved.

5. What national team would you like to meet?
I don't know, but i think it would be exciting to meet one of the teams from 10th to 1st in the world ranking team. But more experience we get, the better.

6. How are you preparing for the games?
I go to fitness mostly. I'll arrive in Nuuk on friday to train with the others.

7. Does this trip mean that futsal is one of the major sports on Greenland?
Yes, I think so.

8. How important is a good result for futsal and football on Greenland?
I believe it would be to make a progress every year, to develop more players in futsal here in Greenland. But i believe the most important for Greenland football is to become a member of FIFA.

9. Do you think it is feasible that you will be the first Greenland goalkeeper to take part in a futsal European or World Cup?
I don't know, well we'll just wait and see if i will be the first.
