Andrea Bucciol, former futsal national team coach of Poland

1. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

- I`m Italian. About 10 years ago I`ve started working as a futsal coach in Italy. Then I made my first futsal coach licence with was equal UEFA B, then 5 years ago I made first level futsal licence , which shuold be equal to UEFA A. From 6 years I live in Poland with my family. For 3 seasons I was coach of Rekord Bielsko-Biala, We won 2 times the 3 place and once Cup of Poland. From may 2013 for a little bit more then 2 years I was a head coach of polish futsal national team. Now I work with youth of Rekord, as I always did even when I was a head coach. Last few years we have big successes with these young players and I hope they will be a future of futsal in Poland.

2. How was it to be National Team Coach Of Poland?

- Beeing a Head Coach of national team of Poland it was very difficult time. There was no project for the future and support of federation. Here in Poland futsal is not professional, it`s a amatorial or semi-professional level: organization, culture of futsal, teaching, workouts and level of play. But the goal, they made me to rich was to qualify for Euro Futsal Championships in Belgrade having in round Italy - holding champion. During this time we played 35 friednly matches, most of them we won even with teams higher ranked es Hungary, Romania, Ucraina. In this two years our level grown, but it wasn`t enough for qualification even for playoffs.

3. What is your best National Team memory?

- I think matches with Italy, both of them in Teramo and in Krosno. CT Menichelli was my teacher so playing against him and national team of my born country was a big deal for every point of view: emotional and proffesional. I was proud of my boys, becouse eventhough we lost both of them we played well and made Italy suffer a litle bit.

4. What is best with futsal?

- Futsal is the best sport in the world: technic, tactics, intensity, show, fun , atmosfere. ... what else? it's not rich, but money aren't important. Futsal is a base of individual technics. For example in Brasil in poor districts called favelas children play futsal and there were born stars as Ronadlihno, Ronaldo.

5. Do you have any advice for young players who want to play professionally?

- Do you want to have good technics of play? Do you want to have good dribbling? Do you want to play fast in small spaces? Do you want to be able to make good fast decisions under the pression? Do you want to touch a ball 10 times in one minute during the game? You must play futsal.

6. Have you also played futsal as a player?

- Yes I was a goalkeeper but when futsal wasn't futsal yet many many years ago.

7. Who do you think will win European Championship and why?

- I hope Italy as two years ago,but I think that Spain is the favourite one. I think that team of Spain has the highest technical rate and bigest experience in Europe. They would like to demonstrate it and reconquistate the title.
