Hiddink in S. Korea to Seek Plan to Build Futsal Stadiums in N. Korea

Guus Hiddink, a former head coach of South Korea’s national football team, has visited South Korea to seek his plan to build futsal stadiums in North Korea.

Arriving at Incheon International Airport on Monday, Hiddink said in an interview that he will visit the North on Thursday to pursue his plan to build futsal stadiums in multiple cities including Pyongyang.

The Dutch coach added he will meet with the head of the North’s Football Association during his two-day trip.

The Guus Hiddink Foundation has set up 13 futsal stadiums called “Dream Fields” in South Korea. The stadiums are specifically designed for use by visually impaired players.
