Shams candidate to take charge of Iran futsal team

Hossein Shams is a nominee to take charge of Iran futsal team for the third stint.

Shams was appointed as Iran coach in 1998 for the first time. He parted company with the Iranian Football Federation after two years.

Shams was named as Iran coach in 2006 once again and coached Team Melli for five years.

Iran is without a coach after Spaniard Jesus Candelas left the team in May.

Former Iran futsal captain and world's all-time leading goalscorer Vahid Shamsaei is among the nominees.

Iran will have to participate in the 2016 AFC Futsal Championship which will be held in Uzbekistan from February 10 to 21.
