Blanca AshyamThe 1st Series of the West Region Indonesia Futsal Super League was ended on April, 22nd 2015. A strong team from Bandung, FC Libido and also a strong team from the capital city, Electric PLN Cosmo, arguably dominated the 1st Western Region Series.
However, the debutant from Surabaya, Pingdus, together with its 'magical' player, Andriansyah Runtuboy, also turned out to be a surprise.
Runtuboy became the most highlighted player in the 1st Series. The contribution of scoring a total of 13 goals that was made by this Jayapura player was considered the highest, compared to other players in the 1st West Region Series.
It was interesting to see the act-class players, such as Runtuboy, Andriansyah Agustin a.k.a Adom, and also Ardy 'Jawa' Dwi Suwardi which will re-start their 2nd Western Region FSL Series 2015 in mid-May.
Moving on to the 1st Eastern Region Series currently being held in the Makassar.
The Eastern Region is also equally strong, compared to the Western Region, considering their prestigious players and clubs.
The players, such as Randy 'Akang' Satria, Syahidan Lubis, Sayan Karmadi, and also the 2015 FSL’s debutant from Wales, Rico Zulkarnain, enliven the 1st Series of the Eastern Region.
The clubs that participate often compete in some of the prestigious competitions in Indonesia.
A strong club from Jakarta, IPC Pelindo II, a club from Mataram, Vamos Mataram, and the home team, Pinky Boys Antam Makassar, are currently competing in the 1st Eastern Region FSL Series.
There is also a name that comes up, Persija Jaya Jakarta or Persija Futsal, that becomes the debutant in FSL this year. This team from Jakarta coached by the experienced, Doni Zola, indeed brings a new color in Indonesian futsal.
This is the second time for a professional football club to form a futsal club. A couple years ago, a club from Palembang, Sriwijaya, also took the chance to form a futsal club.
