Dynamo secure Russian Cup final first-leg lead over Norilskiy Nikel

Dynamo hit back from a goal down to claim a 4-2 lead in the first leg of Russian Cup final this Wednesday. With this victory, Dynamo take a handsome advantage into the second leg against Norilskiy Nikel which is to get underway on April 12, in Moscow.

Khasanzade opened the scoring in early on, but hosts were unable to hold on to their lead. Dynamo's response arrived inside six minutes, with Fernandão putting through Norilskiy Nikel’s net. The visitors continued to press for what could prove to be a vital winner and finally forced their way through when Fernandinho, Badretdinov, and Rômulo added three more to Dynamo’s goal tally. Hosts dominated the closing stages, and Khasanzade eventually pulled a goal back.

However, that was not enough, and the game ended with Norilskiy Nikel being beaten at home.
