Nine AGLA PLAYERS go to Main Round in Poland

The Italian National Futsal Team is in Krosno, Poland where from Wednesday 18th until Saturday 21st March there will be involved in the Main Round of the European Championship qualification: Finland, Belarus and hosts Poland are the three rivals for the Azzurri that will decide qualification for Serbia 2016.

On Saturday, at the end of the training preparation in Genzano di Roma, Italy coach Roberto Menichelli and his staff had to reduce the original group of twenty-one players called up to sixteen. They will wait until the last possible moment, namely the technical meeting before the contest with Finland, to inform UEFA of the fourteen that will play the European qualifiers. The game is scheduled for Tuesday night at 19.00. There will remain nine (twelve originally) AGLA ENDORSEES: goalkeepers STEFANO MAMMARELLA and DAVIDE PUTANO plus outfield players MASSIMO DE LUCA, MARCO ERCOLESSI, JULIAO MURILO FERREIRA, RODOLFO FORTINO, HUMBERTO HONORIO, ALEX MERLIM and ANGELO SCHININA.

The European Championships are scheduled for February 2nd to 13th in Belgrade, Serbia. The qualifying teams will be the winning nations of the seven Main Round groups. The runners up plus the best third place will go to the playoffs, scheduled for 15th and 22nd September (Draw on June 10th), played over 2 legs and the four winners qualifying for Serbia 2016.
