With the announcement last week of the nominees in each of the nine categories in the Agla Futsal Awards 2014 many of the potential winners have declared their happiness at being selected.

The voting is due to start soon with the winners revealed shortly afterwards. The nominations have also gained wide coverage in the national and international futsal press.

Ricardinho, nominee in the Best Player of the World category which he won in 2010, was one of those that showed his delight by posting the following on his Facebook page;

Once again I am amongst the 10 nominees for the best player of the world...

A huge acknowledgement of the hard work, which would never have been achieved without the help of everyone!

I want to thank the support of my team Inter Movistar and all my teammates for the excellent season we made. The same thanks to all the group, staff and family of our national futsal team who, without doubt, help me to be better every day!

To my family, friends and all of you a HUGE THANKS for always supporting me every day!

I am very proud to be Portuguese and to be able once again among the best... VIVA PORTUGAL!
