LUPI Win to Recover

Quick redemption for AGLA kitted LUPARENSE as they beat the Greek Athina 90 3-0 and are back in the race to qualify for the Elite Round of the UEFA FUTSAL CUP. Musti’s guys have expelled the horrible 6-2 defeat to England’s Baku United and now must face the challenge presented by Serbian hosts Ekonomac Kragujevac on Saturday, 4th October to continue their adventure in Europe. The Venetian goals were scored by AGLA ENDORSED HONORIO and WALTINHO as well as goalkeeper Miarelli in the very last second.

The game struggled to take off and in the first half there was little excitement. In the second half Luparense escaped the grip of the pressure after a goal scored by HONORIO, captain of the blues. WALTINHO put the result beyond doubt and then the goal of Miarelli, with the Greeks employing the fly goalkeeper, gives LUPI a better chance of qualifying for the next round.

LUPARENSE Lose in Europe in First Game

It was a debut to forget for AGLA clothed LUPARENSE in Group 5 of the UEFA FUTSAL CUP. Musti’s guys were defeated 6-2 by the English champions Baku United. The first half finished with them down 1-0. In the second half, three goals were conceded in fewer than seven minutes as the Venetian’s legs wobbled.

Goals from AGLA ENDORSED WALTINHO and Mauricio returned confidence to the team. The LUPI coach opted to utilise the fly goalkeeper but Baku United were able to extend their lead to record a final score of 6-2. On Thursday 2nd October the club will have a chance at redemption and will have to try to avoid an early exit when they play the Greeks Athina 90.

The top two in each of the six groups will participate in the Elite Round and included in the 17th of October draw alongside the four seeded teams of FC Barcelona (Champion), Kairat Almaty, Araz Nakhchivan and Sporting Clube de Portugal.
