FMA unveils brand new logo, League Draws held

Futsal Malta Association (FMA) has today unveiled its brand new logo, as its ambitious process of progress and development continues under the leadership of FMA President Mark Borg.

The logo – made up of a futsal pitch at the centre with a ball at the right hand side and the name of the association underneath reflects the love for the game of futsal and the dynamism of the association.

The website will have also some changes including a database for the restricted use of the clubs’ members.

During today’s council meeting the Premier Division, First Division and Knock Out draws were held in front of the clubs’ representatives.

The First Division will start on Monday 15th September with Mqabba playing against Mdina and Msida playing against Mellieha.

The following matches are on Tuesday 16th September with Lija playing against Luqa and Attard playing against B’Bugia.

On Monday 22nd September, Naxxar will have their first match of the season against Siggiewi, followed by Qrendi playing against Sirens.

On Tuesday 23rd September, Mellieha will continue this time against Mqabba and Luqa meets Mdina.

On Thursday 25th September, B’Bugia play against Msida and Siggiewi against Lija.

The Super Cup Final between Balzan and Luxol was already scheduled on Friday 26th September.

On Saturday 27th September, the First Division continues with Sirens against Attard, Qrendi against Naxxar and Mqabba against Luqa.

The Premier Division will kick off on Tuesday 30th September with Zebbug playing against Mosta.

On Thursday 2nd October, Valletta return to Premier having their first match against Hamrun and Qormi will play against Zurrieq.

On Friday 3rd October we’ll have the first derby of this season, between Swieqi and Luxol.

On the same date, last season Premier’s champions Balzan will be playing against last season First Division Champions Gzira.

On Tuesday 7th October, Hamrun will meet Zebbug.

On Thursday 9th October, Zurrieq will be playing against Mosta and Luxol against Valletta.

On Friday 10th October, Balzan will be playing against Qormi and Gzira against Swieqi.

In the Knock-out’s Preliminary Round we have the following matches:

Luqa vs Balzan with the winner playing against Lija in the First Round.

Naxxar vs Gzira with the winner playing against Siggiewi in the First Round.

Valletta vs Sirens with the winner playing against Attard in the First Round.

B’Bugia vs Qrendi with the winner playing against Swieqi in the First Round.

Mellieha vs Msida with the winner playing against Hamrun in the First Round.

Mqabba vs Qormi with the winner playing against Mdina in the First Round.

The First Round also have Mosta playing against Luxol and Zebbug against Zurrieq.
