AGLA & LUPARENSE: The Scudetto Final

AGLA sponsored LUPARENSE has arrived to the championship final for the 3rd consecutive time. Colini’s boys drew 5-5 with Asti in Game 2, after a 4-2 home victory win in the debut match of the semi-final series. A penalty scored by AGLA ENDORSED MERLIM 52 seconds from the final whistle guaranteed the WOLVES passage to the final, eliminating the team that had dominated the regular season.

In Game 1 in Bassano del Grappa the half-time score was 1-1 with goals from Asti’s Wilhelm and AGLA MAN HONORIO for the Venetian side. In the second half of the contest the goals for Luparense came from Canal, Bertoni and another for captain HONORIO. A goal from AGLA ENDORSED FORTINO for Asti was not enough.

In Game 2 it was much more difficult, as was to be expected. LUPARENSE showed they were never going to give up. Asti took the lead after just 38 seconds with Patias and Cavinato added a second. Bertoni halved the lead but again Patias increased Asti’s advantage to two goals. Before the break the two captains scored; HONORIO for the Venetians and Lima for the hosts.

In the second half LUPARENSE drew level with goals from AGLA ENDORSED WALTINHO and an own goal. Lima put Asti ahead but MERLIM made it 5-5 from the penalty spot. The penalty enabled LUPARENSE to continue their quest for the Scudetto, avoiding the dangers of Game 3.
