The Iran Futsal Super League is one of the world’s top futsal competitions and features some of the strongest futsal players around. At the end of the season awards are presented for the best in several categories.

For the 2013-2014 season there were 11 separate categories. The winners are decided through a voting system organised by ParsFutsal and FutsalIran and those with a vote include captains, coaches and directors from clubs in the league as well as former national team players and the press. In total 124 people cast their vote and here are the results.

MELLI HAFARI KHUZESTAN was chosen as the best team in the Super League after finishing in 3rd place. This is great recognition for the work of coaches Mehdi Abtahi and Seyed Muhammed Nazim.

Over the season Ahmad Ismaeelpoor scored 25 goals and Mehdi Javid just behind with 23 goals. They formed a lethal partnership with most their goals involving a combination between the two.

Alireza Samimi was awarded the best goalkeeper. With his excellent performances protecting the Melli Hafari Khuzestan goal, it is no wonder he also represents the Iranian National Team.

Giti Pasand’s Mohammed Keshavarz is selected as the league’s best defender. Even though he has had better seasons, his experience showed and it is for this reason he captains the Iranian national team.

Ahmad Esmaeelpour won the best winger award after being the league’s top goalscorer for a third consecutive time. This year saw him record an impressive 25 goals.

One of futsal most historic players, Vahid Shamsaei has taken his on court success on to the bench after winning the Iranian title. He is deserving of the Best Coach award for 2013-2014.
