MAMMARELLA, FORTINO & DE LUCA – AGLA’s Golden Boys

In the bright blue of Italy, the champions of Europe, stand three other stars. Three champions who not only share the fact that they have made Italian futsal history, but are also ENDORSED by AGLA. These are their thoughts.

The feelings of the goalkeeper STEFANO MAMMARELLA: "It was an exceptional adventure. Now we are beginning to realise what we have done and that it is not just a dream. Now, after people you meet or call you offer their congratulations, you begin to understand the real magnitude of what the team has accomplished. The most difficult time I think was after the defeat to Slovenia. To try to erase the huge disappointment of the defeat we had to wait four days. These were days of hell. It was a hideous experience. The best moment of the entire trip in Belgium was the 7-0 win over Azerbaijan. That day my son, my wife and some friends came to watch me. That result gave us the strength to go on and realisation that we could do it. "

These are the opinions of RODOLFO FORTINO, Italy’s top scorer alongside Captain Lima with four goals: "It was a beautiful experience. We've gone from the game with Slovenia, where we ran into a very bad defeat, to the immense indescribable joy of the winning the European title. Luckily the game we lose was not in the knockouts so we could lose and still finish victorious. The moment in the European Championship that I remember with great pleasure is the second half of the final with Russia, when our opponents were playing with the fly goalkeeper. Which is the goal that gave me the most satisfaction? The one against Portugal in the semi-finals."

MASSIMO DE LUCA is delighted with the victory: "It is a great thing. It is definitely the most beautiful emotion that I have experienced in my career. I had a difficult start because the coach, initially, was not playing me. They were hard days. At that time my teammates, my friends who had come from Italy to Belgium to follow the tournament and my family via phone were supporting me. In the semi-final with Portugal I had my chance and that game really began my championship. From this competition I brought home every moment; The four days of hell that we had after the defeat against Slovenia which was the worst moment for everyone, personal difficulties because I was not playing , the wonderful feelings in the match with Portugal and in the final against Russia."

The CONDOR model is equipped with the new technological development AGLA GRIP CONTROL, for absolute grip on court. The upper is made of a nubuck and breathable canvas. The sole uses a new concept of an eva foam ANTI-SHOCK insert, a system designed by AGLA to prevent tendinitis and micro trauma that over time can damage ligaments. It has the brand logo with breathable rubber. The model CONDOR is designed for fast and technical players who like to take to the court with light shoes.
